With breath taking views over the Byron Bay hinterland to the Pacific Ocean beyond it is not hard to see why the owners wanted to take full advantage of the position with large expanses of glass. The end result, as you can see is wonderful.
Unique Window Services was brought in to provide electric window controls for the high level awning windows. As you can see from the photos, the motors are non-intrusive and barely visible in the environment.
Passive cooling will have a wonderful effect in the home, as when the upper level windows are opened, the huge sliding doors will allow large amounts of fresh air to be drawn inside through the ground level openings.
This fresh, cooler air will be circulated at the living level and provide the occupants of the home with a much better thermal comfort than perhaps some mechanical methods may provide.
Installed on this project were the Linco L2 motors, with a very low profile and quiet operation they are great for residential applications. The motors come standard in clear anodized Aluminium which is great for this project, however they can be colour matched to suit any projec
