Unique Window Services was engaged to supply our SlimLine Louvre for a new resort being built in the Maldives. To be in keeping with the traditional feel of the resort the Aluminium frames were finished in a timber look powder coat and had Cedar blades instead of glass (these were to be stained on site).
This reduces the amount maintenance required on the frames themselves and ensures the finish for many years. The louvre system itself, SlimLine, was used as the concealment of the motor also helps to keep the ‘feel’ of the resort.
Unlike the other options currently on the market this system fits into a standard 100mm commercial frame and does not overhang like other concealed motor currently available. Another advantage of the SlimLine system is that it at least halves the motors required as compared to its competitors. This greatly reduces the cost as the motors are the most expensive element within any concealed motor system.
This reduction in motors is achieved as the motor is housed on the mullion where it can control 2 galleries at once. All other options are only able to control a single gallery per motor and some can only operate up to 8 blades per motor!
