Wiring Instructions
Extra Low voltage supply cable is to be minimum 0.75mm figure 8 (speaker wire), this is good for distance of up to 15 meters from the transformer. For distances further than this a thicker wire will be required.
If unsure consult a Unique Window Services representative. Switch cable for a voltage free (dry contact) signal is to be a 4 core security cable or 14204.
Cat 5 can be used, however we recommend using two strands per connector as this will be a stronger connection. The switching side of the circuitry is voltage free. This means multiple circuit boards can be connected together on the switch side to operate multiple louvers from the one switch. Each actuator draws 1 amp to maximum load. Up to 4 actuators can safely be operated off the one transformer. Any more will cause the transformer to overload and void warranty.
IMPORTANT NOTE : ONLY MOMENTARY CONTACT SWITCHES ARE TO BE — USED.
FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID WARRANTY.
